Adult and Youth Auxiliaries
Amicae
Amicae (Friends of Zeta) are women may not meet the qualifications necessary to join the sorority or are women in the community (or sisters or friends of Zetas) who have the willingness to function as a part of the sorority.
As early as 1940, graduate chapters of Zeta Phi Beta began to realize the importance of the prestige, good will and cooperation of women who, for various reasons, were not members of any Greek-letter organization. Under the administration of Soror Lullelia Harrison, the first Amicae chapter was organized in Omaha, Nebraska in 1947 making Zeta the first sorority in the National Pan-Hellenic Council to organize an auxiliary group. Zeta Amicae are affiliated through local chapters.
Youth Auxiliaries
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority offers young women an opportunity to become active supporters of the organization’s goals, programs, and activities. These community members are invited to become members of any of our auxiliary groups established through our international headquarters. These groups include:
Pearlettes: Girls under 9 years old who are mentored by ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated to become outstanding leaders in their community.
Amicettes: Girls 9 to 13 years of age who are willing to strive toward the high ideals of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and who demonstrate the potential for leadership in service to the community.
Archonettes: High school-aged young ladies who demonstrate an interest in the goals and the ideals of scholarship, sisterly love, and community service.
Zeta Male Network
Members of the Zeta Male Network are men who are related, married to or in the lives of members of our organization. ZMN provides its members with an opportunity to participate in various service projects and events with members of the sorority and interact with other gentlemen whose lives are impacted by members of Zeta.
