Zeta Charity Fund, Inc.
Kappa Beta Zeta founded the Zeta Phi Beta-Kappa Beta Zeta Charity Fund, Inc. (Zeta Charity Fund, Inc.) in 2002, a 501c3 tax-exempt organization. The fund boosts the chapter’s fundraising ability for its Stork’s Nest and Scholarship programs by enabling donations to be tax-exempt for the donor.
A Legacy of Scholarship
Established in 2002, the Fund exists with the mission to improve the health, educational and social outcomes of babies, youth and families. In collaboration with Kappa Beta Zeta Chapter, the Fund’s most significant charitable activities are raising funds for the Milwaukee Area Stork's Nest Program and scholarships for Milwaukee-area youth.
The Fund also supports other programs to improve the health, educational, and social outcomes of community members such as the Zeta Helping Other People Excel (Z-HOPE) program.
In its early years, the members established a chapter scholarship and held its first scholarship luncheon on February 27, 1982. Other fundraisers for the chapter’s scholarship included holding the Little Miss Blue Revue pageant in the late 90s and early 2000s. KBZ also held a Mother's Day Weekend Brunch from 2001-2007 for the renamed Kappa Beta Zeta/Bernice Bynum Memorial Scholarship Fund. Other major events include holding a joint Founders’ Day celebration with Delta Xi Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. called Shades of Blue for several years beginning in 2004.
To assist us in continuing our scholastic efforts, we invite you to make a contributable donation to our Charity Fund.
